Emits high density negative ions
The IG-E1JR2 emits 1.0–1.8 million negative ions per cc.* This negative ion density is far greater than that of waterfalls and forests, which are known to have a high concentration of negative ions and are relaxing and refreshing.
* In-house testing at RELTEC. Results were measured using “Hokuto Electronics Co., Ltd. Ion Counter NKMH-103” at a distance of 1 m from the air outlet. The measurement results may vary depending on the device’s operating environment.
Emits negative ions continuously over a long period
In response to customer requests to continuously operate a negative ion generator to keep indoor air in good condition, we developed a product that enables continuous negative ion emission. This is the IG-E1JR2. Even when constantly operated for more than six months without being shut off, the IG-E1JR2 continued to emit approximately one million negative ions per cc*.

It is easy to generate and emit a high density of negative ions for a short period. On the other hand, if negative ions continue to be generated, they will charge the negative ion generator itself and prevent the generation and emission of negative ions, gradually reducing the number of negative ions released. It is not easy to prevent this.
The IG-E1JR2 is a negative ion generator we developed after much trial and error, finding a structure and materials less likely to become charged, designing, prototyping, and testing. It can continuously emit high-density negative ions even when operated continuously for long periods.
No ozone is emitted
IG-E1JR2 was developed to supply large amounts of electrons to the human body using negative ions as a carrier, i.e., for the purpose of antioxidant properties. On the other hand, many negative ion generators generate and emit ozone, a strong oxidizing substance, at the same time as ions. Ozone not only damages pathogenic microorganisms, but also proteins, lipids, and DNA, which are basic components of the human body. Ozone, being an oxidizing substance, does not choose what it damages.
By adjusting the discharge energy of the electrodes, we have succeeded in developing a negative ion generator that does not emit ozone.* This is the IG-E1JR2.
* In-house testing at RELTEC. We measured near the negative ion outlet using the MK Scientific Series-3000 (ozone sensor used for measurement) with a measurement range of 0–0.15 ppm, resolution of 0.001 ppm, and accuracy of ±0.005 ppm, but no ozone was detected. However, we cannot deny the possibility that ozone may be generated and emitted depending on the device’s operating environment, such as the extremely high air pollution level or humidity around the electrode.
Easy to clean electrodes
We believe that the biggest impact on ion generation is the absence of dust on the electrodes, as dust reduces the discharge energy and inhibits ion generation.
To completely remove dust from the electrode, it is essential to use electrode materials that allow easy dust removal and a device structure that allows easy cleaning. The IG-E1JR2 meets these conditions.
